searching for a head stone with a harley davidson motorcycle on it? My father passed away a year ago. He was a Harley rider. I know that you can purchase a head stone with a Harley on it. But I am unsure of where to obatin it. I only want one head stone for him. And I know how much he loved his bike. I am about ready to take the picture that I have of him on his bike and ask someone to special make the perfect headstone for his final resting place. He was also a Vietnam Vet. And it now has been a year and he still does not have a marker on his final resting place. It is completley wrong. Thank you for any help that someone can give.

Gizmo replied: "Most of the monument places have a plotter now and can etch whatever you want on a stone."

brooklynite333 replied: "i think something like that needs to be custom made. I have never heard of things like that showing up anytoher way."

jennifersuem replied: "Here's a link for a company. Why not contact your funeral home and ask them where you can get a Harley Davision Headstone. They would have more information. He says they can tailor-make the headstone right in front of the family, and when completed, the family can walk away with a laser copy of what the headstone will look like. They can customize a headstone or marker with just about any art now with the aid of the computer. You may see a fisherman fly-fishing, or they may be embellished with circus animals, rainbows, or teddy bears for a beloved child, Harley-Davidson motorcycles or even a laser engraved photo right on the headstone or marker."

Vintage Harley Davidson? Hi, I'm in the middle of writing a book right now and am far to lazy to call up my usual source for research and need to know of a vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle. Something tough that has that whole 'bad-boy' air to it. If you could include a picture or a sight where I can see the bike, that be great. In response to the jerk-off who decided to talk about my writing skills. I could care less about checking over what I write in Yahoo answers, I feel no need to look over what I write here for answers-frankly I could care less. Also I own a motorcycle just not a harley and my editor suggested that I make the bike in my story a Harley, thank you very much. I like Harley's, their just not my cup of tea. Also I already have one book published, so apparently someone out there doesn't have the same opinion of you.

indianjohn replied: "Vintage try a 65 Pan they dont get any better and it is the only true 1 yr only harley ck back I may have a pic Those should keep you busy plus some info on them"

Joe B replied: "You are writing a book when you can't spell and you don't know the proper grammar using the word ( to, too ) in a sentence? and,,,,,, you are writing a book about Harley's and comparing Harley Owners as "bad boys"? sorry to inform you, but you don't have a clue, successful writers write books based on their life experiences, they do not write books based on other people experiences, or their opinions"

chopperchopster replied: "well the 47 knucklehed cause its the last year knuckle or 48 pan cause its the first year pan. easy to see these bikes just key in the words harley knucklehead or panhead you will find plenty of sites with pics"

? replied: "Yeah, you tell 'em Kiara! Any Panhead or Knuckle would be just what you are looking for."

harley MIke replied: "hEY jOE b , YOU NEED TO LIGHTEN UP...tHERE ARE MANY MANY SUCCESSFUL WRITERS WHO WRITE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES EXPERIENCE...iT IS CALLED A "BIOGRAPHY" iF IT IS ABOUT THEMSELVES THEN IT IS CALLED AN "AUTOBIOGRAPHY" OPINIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE BROUGHT INTO A BOOK IS ALSO A VERY STRONG FORM OF PROSE.. Now on to the question. Since you mention Harleys then there is nothing more beautiful in the HD archives then the Knuclkehead engine in all its' splendor. It had amny problems during its' development , especially when compared to later models be they Pan/evo engines or the like...But they sure were pretty...Still can be found thumping along the openr oad and lubricating parking spots a wee bit as well...Would make for great research and great reading by the rest of us...Goodluck and success with the publishing of the new book...Let us know here at Yahoo asnwers so we can all get a read of it"

Ol Buck replied: "If you e-mail me @, I'll send you some pix. Just finished and sold a 61 Pan chopper that's bad-ass! B."

Harley-Davidson or Honda? I was seriously thinking about buying a Harley-Davidson XL883C Sportster, but i looked at the Honda website today and saw a slightly less powerful Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (VT750C2) for over $1000 less money. I love the nostalgia of Harley's, and i really couldn't picture anything else, but i am a college student, and i need to save money (not that i can't afford the Harley) What i need to know, is it worth saving money to go with the Honda (which looks relatively similar to the Harley) or should i stay true to my first true desire. will i get and extra $1000 dollars worth of enjoyment from a Harley? Basically, which is more "Bike" for the money, and which is more respected and mutually accepted by the motorcycle community? (this is my first bike)

ThE SmArT GuY replied: "the harley is worth the money and will hold its value better"

bettermanners replied: "Are you asking us to decide which bike you are going to buy? If so, you shouldn't be riding. If you want the noise, a terrible ride, and constantly putting money into your bike, get a Harley. If you want a great ride, a great value, and have a great time, buy the Honda. Both bikes are accepted by the biking community, for what they are. A Honda is a Honda, don't try to make it sound like a Harley, it won't work. A Harley is a Harley, nothing you do will make it ride like a Honda. This is a deciscion you have to make for yourself. Good luck!"

tconroy replied: "Who cares what is accepted by the community!!! I dont know who you have been talking to but this is a materialistic thing. If you want to "keep up with the jones" than get your harley and be prepared to pay 100 an hour for shop fees. That includes changing the oil.I drive a 1983 Suzuki gs 650 L and get lots of compliments on my bike. It's 25 years old and paid for and I alos work on it myself.Dont be a fool and fall into the trap of having to be better than somebody else.Having a harley means nothing!!!!"

caw replied: "The Honda is a much better motorcycle. Not only will you save money on the initial purchase, it will be much cheaper to maintain, and it won't break as often."

viking replied: "think long and hard. this is going to be your bike. but also think about this, you can find many more 30 year old harleys than you can hondas. where will the honda you are looking at be in 30 years? the sportster will still be running strong."

forktail_devil replied: "i suggest u get a 1200 instead. i'd also suggest get the carburated instead; much easier to work on in setting the mix. if u really want a harley, no other bike will come close. i'd choose from a '99-'05 sportsters. there's a chitload of sportsters out there with well under 10,000 miles on the clock. check the paper or craigslist."

schrodinger's kat replied: "Depends which community. Are you mechanically inclined and can you rip of the caps on beer bottles with your teeth? Honda is reliable transportation and you can afford a car when the snow hits the ground."

Hagar replied: "All you foreign motorcycle riders give me a break!!! I have a 2000 Electra Glide Classic that I bought brand new, and now I have 68,000 miles on it and do you know how many times I had to bring it to the shop for any repairs, ZERO!!! Quit stereo-typing Harley's for crying out loud. I would suggest you buy a any kind of motorcycle that you feel more comfortable with, not what with a popular vote."

mushki replied: "Just because the Honda has a smaller motor does not mean it is less powerful, it actually makes more power. Don't just take my word for it google it(try motorcyclist.com it will be there, HP, torque, quarter mile times, 0-60 and top gear roll-ons) Hondas are more reliable. But if all of your boys ride Harleys I can understand why you would want one to but the smart money is with the Honda. You should know that I am a Honda guy though. Just check out motorcyclist to verify my facts if you have any doubts."

bettyboop#1 replied: "That will be your choice to make, but I prefer a Harley. It will hold its value better and if you ever want to sell it to get a bigger bike you will get more for it. As for the person that said you will pay a hundred dollars a hour for repairs just call the Harley shop and then call the Honda shop. you will notice that there will not be much difference in what they get per hour."

atvman_400 replied: "I would get a slightly used Harley. Motorcycles, just like cars, take a large loss in value after they roll off the dealership floor. You can probably get a Sportster 1200 that is a couple years old for the same money as a brand new 883. The Honda is a good bike, but the Harley is, well, a Harley. You won't get the sound out of teh Honda, and the Harley has tons of aftermarket support."

harleyhater replied: "harleys suck period. a sportster is the gayest model they make just look at the technology in that bucket of bolts compared to any other machine search the cycletrader and you will see that thing is a turd that you cAn't give away"

csburridge replied: "If your heart is set on a Harley, then anything else you will buy will fall short of your expectations even if it is a better motorcycle for the money. The only prefect bike is the one YOU want the most. In my opinion, I think that Honda makes better motorcycles. What do I know. I just own and operate a few. Ride Safe"

s3n8tr replied: "Hey Derek, the purchase of a motorcycle is a personal thing, as you can see from the answers you have so far most people are passionate about the type of bike they like or ride, rather than ive. it sounds like your passion lies with the Harley, i cant help but think you would be sitting at the lights on the Honda when a Harley pulls up next to you and your fist thought would be i wish i bought one of them, so how much is that worth to you?? Just because the two bike look similar don't think they will be they are very different, go to the dealers and ride both and buy the one that puts the biggest smile on your dial, it dosent matter which one you buy you will have to spend money on them its a fact of life. I have owned Japanese and European bikes all my life but have many friends with Harley's, you get good and bad in both. some have spent an absolute fortune on maintenance and repairs others have done nothing more than change the oil. good luck"

dead7 replied: "ok first things first the money, Yes the harley is more money period. 2nd long term value the harley not only holds its value but actually increases value example 2001 models of those bikes the harley would be 5k and the vt would be 3465. but as another example my bro just traded in his 883 bought new in 87 for 3995 and the shop gave him a trade value of 3k then they sold it for 4500 so he rode it for just over 15 years and only "lost" 500 bucks. 3 maintenace- harleys have a bad rap about leaking breaking down etc but look at the warrenties on both bikes they are almost the exact same since harley was bought back from AMF the quality is much better. and the honda is a good bike now for the shops/parts call your local dealers and ask for the service dept ask them how much labor is for 1 hour bet they match between 70-75 here. you can get the hd worked on just about anywhere including some guys garage you ran into on the road. not so in for the honda, parts they both aren't cheap (what is nowadays) but there are far more hd parts because of the interchangiblity.honda is getting there but not yet 4- See if you can ride both bikes and see which one you like and buy that 5-DUDE your in college do you know what a chick magnet a bike is??? Which one do you think the girls are gonna wanna ride on? The bad boy on the Harley or the guy on the Honda. Ive owned hondas yamis kawis and harleys and i liked each one for differnt reasons. Pick one that you like and buy it dont worry about us. I ride an hd now and if i run into we will talk trash bout our bikes no matter what ya ride GL see ya in the wind"

shadouse replied: "Both are good bikes, a Harley will hold its value better. Since you are undecided go ahead and take a look at other brands as well. You may find different bike you like even better."

emucompboy replied: "Buy something used. If you buy a brand new motorcycle, it WILL be stolen at your college."

Dr. E replied: "A Honda is no way, shape or form, will ever look, ride or sound like a Harley. A Harley will cost you more. 1) At the time you buy it. 2) Over all maintenance. 3) Anything you add. Harley give you a greater return if you ever sell it. I'm a Honda rider, I love the smoother ride I get from the Honda. Not being mechanically inclined I love that the only thing I have to do is the regular maintains. Both bikes are great bikes!"

Tony M replied: "The best way to decide is to test drive them both. My first bike back in the late 70's was a 72 Honda CL350 it would eat up a Kawasaki 500. Back then a HD was not the bike to have. You would have to tightened up bolts every time you drove them. But that was then. Three years ago, my wife bought me a 74 Yamaha 500 for fathers day. It would turns heads. If I would have a choose between an new HD or tconroy 83 Suzuki GS 650 L, I would go for the Suzuki. (That bike is on my wish list) It all comes down to personal preferences. Good Luck"

bikermog replied: "When it comes to new, modern production bikes, harley can and will hold its own in reliability, performance, and styling with any other similar brand out there. Their maintenace schedules are no better or worse than the other makes, and yes, even the lowly sportster will retain a better trade-in value than the 750 honda. As to power comparison between the bikes you mentioned My wife has a '03 honda shadow ace with the 750 V-twin and it is a fine bike. The original 2 into 1 muffler was modified and the sound it produces is great, the bike has plenty of power, and the ride is good. I had a 2000 sportster 883 custom a few years ago, and the two bikes are comparable in the power and performance of the engines. The sporty has an advantage when you ride 2 up, because it has more torque than the honda, but otherwise, without modification, they have similar performance. This is speaking from my own personal experience, and not quoting from something I have read somewhere. Styling of the two you mention is somewhat similar, although I would have to give the Honda a slight edge due to the bobbed style fender. Just my opinion and experience, take it as you will. Just don't let someone talk you out of what you want. If you really like the harley, you won't be displeased, and if you decide on the honda, You will enjoy it as well. Ride safe, see ya on the road!"

greenvetter replied: "If you have the cash or other means to finance the bike, buy the 883 slightly used if you have to have it. There are a ton of them out there with no miles on them and it's a buyers market. Most have had something added to them too. If you get it new enough you will also have a warranty. Personally I wouldn't buy either of these bikes brand new. They have poor resale value and you can always find one for a song."

ninebadthings replied: "No contest if you are into dependability, performance or bang for the buck, Honda by a long shot. But if in your mind you will be settling for a Honda but really wanna be Harley guy, you should get the Harley. Harley is selling a mystique and if you need that why settle? As far as respected by the motorcycle community....I've been riding for over 30 years, when I see someone on a Harley I think poser, especially if it is brand new and the guy and his chick are all decked out in new Harley leathers and that silly black half helmet. If you are riding a Honda shadow, Harley guy is gonna think Harley 'wanna be'. So why care what other people think? Buy what you really want and have fun with it."

Jonathan C replied: "So you pull up to the traffic light with your Honda... I pull up next to you with my thunder-breathing Harley... You originally really wanted the Harley, but didn't get it because you wanted to save a measley $1,000... BUT, Our payments are relatively the same per month... Your stomach will drop when we both take off side by side... NOW DECIDE."

Chad replied: "I have owned both. If you don't like to modify or work on it and you plan to have it for a relatively short period of time AND you classify yourself as a gas and go biker, Honda may be your thing. Don't pay any attention to that 1000 bucks. Its a wash on the resale side of things. Harleys are built with better parts, but to many gas and go bikers, it could just be seen as overkill. The new sportsters are kickass."

BikerBob replied: "You should get the bike you really want deep down inside. If you've had your mind set on a Harley, but get the Honda, you'll always regret your decision every time you see a Harley go down the road. Motorcycle selection is a personal thing and should not be solely based on dollars and cents. What you feel inside when you ride is priceless, so get the one you know will make you the happiest. Both bikes are respected and accepted by various factions in the motorcycling community. Some prefer the Honda and some the Harley. Don't worry about what they think. Get the one that triggers that inner excitement every time you look at and ride the bike. If you follow what I'm saying we both know you'll get the Harley. Good selection."

guardrailjim replied: "Both bikes will get you to where you're going. If you're on a limited budget, why spend $1000 for a name. It's a known fact that Harley dealerships over charge for maintenance and repairs, as compared to Jap bike dealers. So if money is the deciding factor, it's a no-brainier."

taffscott1 replied: "Harleys are a well engineered machine that will provide you with miles of enjoyment. So are Hondas. The resale value of H-Ds is falling due to the glut of used H-Ds on the market. Don't believe me? Compare classified ads of two years ago with todays You will discover twice or more H-D For Sale ads as you did such a short time ago..The value of used H-Ds is now a myth amongst those newer buyers that now own them. Hey if you like a Harley then go for it. Buy the machine. Likewise, if you prefer a Honda then buy that machine. Enjoy the ride!"

Jim A replied: "My first bike was a honda back in the 70's. It was a good bike but I always wanted a Harley. My first harley came in 1977 a Sportster and it has been Harley since then. Other brands are fine but if you want the respect from people on motorcycles nothing gets it like a Harley "

Scott R replied: "Get a 3-5 year old 750 Honda, you want either the Spirit or the Ace or Aero 750, they are much less trouble than a Sportster. They sell locally for $3000-5000 and with a few thousand miles the Hondas are barely broken in."

s s replied: "HONDA"

skullbikemike replied: "if you want a harley no other bike is gonna satisfy that desire. get the sportster. if you regret your decision and want the honda later you'll lose less money than if you get the honda and sell it to buy a harley. if you want to save some cash, save 1300 bucks by getting the standard 883 rather than the custom, then customize it to suit your taste instead of letting The Company decide what "custom" means."

stardust replied: "A harley of coarse."

Pete in S.A. replied: "If you ever need to resell the Harley a good percentage of the extra $1000 will be recovered. I personally have ridden over six different Harley models in 40+ years of riding; including 2 sportsters. Every time I've sold one to get another, the Harleys bring over 3-4 times the money that ANY comparable machine will bring in. A lot of people say a bike is a bike; it's not true. There's other motorcycles and then there's Harleys. Harley's never die they get rebuilt! Go by a motorcycle junk yard and count the Harleys--0, Hondas--you can't count 'em all. And remember, the Harley sound is patented. Any other bike got that too? To me the extra grand would be worth it."

beer30bill replied: "Get the Harley.......Don't listen to all these limp-wristed, wannabe Jap riders. Buying a bike that "looks just like a Harley" is like buying a '55 Chevy replica made by Nissan. If you've always wanted a Harley, don't settle for second best........You'll regret it. P.S. There are 2 types of bikers......Those that ride Harleys, and those that wish they did."

Daniel K replied: "Here is my advice... If you are doubting the Honda in any way and think you may not be happy with it, go with the Harley. I was in your same shoes. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, so Harley is in my blood. I wanted a Harley but could only afford a used Victory. The Victory was nice but it didn't satisfy my need. I figured I would get it to fit in with the Harley riders...they didn't pay much attention to me. I bought a 2000 Softail Deuce the next year and haven't looked back. The Honda's are great bikes and will last forever! But if you are looking to ride a peice of history and join a motorcycle family, go with the Harley. You will notice respect from other Harley riders but also onlookers. Everyone loves and respects a Harley...except those who wish they had Harley's. When you buy a Harley you become part of something big. It is almost like a cult. You are part of a family that will always be there for you. I honestly think you will be happier in the longrun with the Harley. The Harley will also get you a better resale than the Honda so consider that in the price as well...an extra $1k now may save you in the long run. The Harley's are also very customizable so you can make it your own bike little by little. Try searching for bikes on Craigslist or Cycle trader.com. You are likely to find a better deal on your sportster especially this time of year...or wait two months and you can steal them!"

Bill G replied: "Both are fine bikes, but lets face it the Honda Shadow is a Harley knock off. The main thing to consider is long term for your investment. The Sportster will hold its resale value much better that the Shadow."

budda replied: "harley owners will say theirs as ill honda owners but even HD owners will agree with the sportster not being a good buy just look how many recently purchased 883 and 1200 sportsters are up for sale on the other hand is the honda its not a bad bike good reliabilty and decent power I ride a kawasaki meanstreak 1600 so Ive got no bias but youl want more power then eather bike has shortly after you get comfterable on it so the most respected harly you can get for the least amount is probably the street bob at about 17500 or the honda shadow 1100 or the vtx 1300 at about 9000 just remember its about your comfort and ride safe"

Jim! replied: "Get a scooter! You are going to college for crying out loud! Blow $3,500 on a Vespa (and keep the money for other things, like books and paying off the loans) Besides, 883 Sportsters don't hold value, Hondas don't either, but are rock-solid reliable. Harleys are much better than before, but are years behind. The best way to decide is to figure what you want for 4 years, not 30. By the way, there were 20 Harleys to 1 Honda 30 Years ago, so that point is not valid. Never mind that 30 Years ago the Honda power bikes were 400ccs, of course the smaller ones won't be around! I have seen plenty of 40 Year old Vespas though, and many on original rings! It's an option. Don't go big if you do not have to, and don't think it is about gas mileage, because if it was, you would want a Bajaj Chetak!"

greybeads replied: "Bike lust can cause you to loose your mind! If you like pick up dropped parts, wasting perfectly good riding days polishing chrome, and meeting other riders at fund raisers for the dude who was too cool to wear a helmet and crashed buy all means buy a harley."

country295 replied: "harly is a cool bike ever one knows, all you paying for is the name i have a honda shadow i wouldent trade it for a harly a 5000 dollers the ride is smother and better gas miles, the long run cheaper to fix ,and looks good and safe to ride ,,"

Who is responsible for paying the lien on a motorcycle? I am interested in Harley Davidson that someone is selling in Nebraska and I am California. I am not there to inspect the bike myself I have seen plenty of pictures but I know nothing about the bikes history so I asked for the Vin#. I checked it and it is coming back that there is lien on the bike. If I purchase the bike does that mean that I am responsable for the lien or does the lien stay with the previous owner. Could I even change the title of the bike to my name if there is a lien on it??? Please help

Fozzy replied: "You aren't responsible for the loan but you are buying the collateral used to get the loan. If the guy doesn't make the payments, the finance company can take the bike regardless of who the new owner is. DON'T BUY IT!!"

David replied: "most likely what will happen if this is a legitemate deal, is the current owwner will pay off the remaining balance that is owed on the bike when it is sold. He/She will get a lein release when it is paid off and that will be sent along with the title. A good question to ask the current owner, is if he/she plans to pay off the remainder of the loan at the time of the sale. If this is legit, they will answer yes unless that loan is transferred to you. But you have to agree and actually apply for that loan if it is transferred. Hope this helps"

kelly_f_1999 replied: "yep if you buy it with a lien might get stuck with a bike you cant ride an dreally best not to buy it at all an dreally if you cant see it or check it or ride it shouldnt buy it either type into search box how to check used motorcycle how to buy used motorcycle wil get you info on how to buy and how to check one which you need to know dont buy anything if person does own it which in this case they dont whoever holds lien does"

Buster Brown replied: "The lien follows the bike until the underlying obligation is paid off. A lien on the bike is no reason not to buy the bike, but you must address the issue. Start by asking the owner how much he owes, and how he plans to take care of it. Then, you may want to get in touch with the lender yourself. Confirm the balance and tell them you are buying the bike. Deduct the loan balance from the amount you pay the seller, and pay the lender directly. The lender can tell you what paperwork, if any, it needs from you and the seller. The seller can sign the title over to you and the lender can send you the lien release."

Where can I buy a bad-ass pair of vegan motorcycle boots? Before I became vegan, I bought a pair of Harley Davidson boots in NYC (see a picture here:). I love them and have so many ways to wear them - but I refuse to wear animal skin. I'm looking for a similar pair (I love the style), but cruelty-free. Any suggestions?

Trillium replied: "that's a trick question, right? people who are vegans don't wear animal skin or look-alikes. Choose one or the other, you can't have it both ways."

peace_and_a_rose replied: "check out the peta mall to find some good links to several sites that might have what your looking for. good for you for staying true to what you believe in, even if it was hard to give up your favorite boots. hope you find an animal-friendly pair that are identical to them!"

Harley Davidson radio station? I was riding my HD Sportster this weekend and pulled up next to a guy that was as enthusiastic about his Harley as I am. I mean, this guy had Harley everything. He had the matching jacket, chaps, bandanna, glasses, etc... He looked totally awesome and like Harley riders should look like. He was about 45-50 years old and he was riding with his wife. I really admired both of them and how into Harley they are. They both had those totally cool microphones on their helmets that you can talk to one another to discuss safety issues, road conditions, which cappuccino bar you should stop at, you get the picture. Anyway, I pulled up next to them and they were blasting the new Brittney Spears album over their speakers! I couldnt believe it! I gave him a hard time before the light changed and he said it was on the radio and not a CD. Does anyone know if there are any HD approved radio stations that HD riders should be listening to? I dont think Brittney really represents the HD lifestyle. Something a little more hardcore would be better like the Dave Matthews Band or Coldplay really fits what motorcycles are all about. What do you think?

Icarus replied: "Take a deep breath. I have riden Harleys for thirty years, logged over 150,000 miles on my Harleys and used to be in the H-D business. Take my word for it: "Harley-this and Harley-that" is a marketing rip-off. H-D marks up their stuff twice what it should be and laughs at those guys all the way to the bank. The whole "Harley Mistique" is a rip-off. I love riding a H-D bike but I avoid-like-the-plague the H-D sanctioned events and I do my own thing on my bike. Just remember, the execs at H-D are no different than the execs on Wall Street. And their customers are no less the suckers. When someone drinks the H-D Kool-Aid, the execs in Milwaukee laugh out loud. Sorry to burst your bubble but I've been there, I know them and I know what I am talking about."

Insurance Biz CT replied: "You're just the sucker HD is looking for. Keep going to the dealer and see if there is any new apparel, or add-ons with the HD logo to put on your bike. They make more on accessories and motor clothes than they do on their bikes. Get the bike, pay for the name, if you must, and then look for after-market acdessories and clothing. You and your bike will look just as good, and you'll have a few bucks in your pocket to enjoy while riding."

BitterOldBastard!!!!! replied: ""yawn" sighs.,....get real."

Live to Ski replied: "Man, I love Brittney Spears, cappuccino too! I like my cappuccino with a whisper of cinnamon on top of the whipped cream. I usually tune in to the new all Harley station on my Sirius Satellite Radio System. They have Brittney Spears two-fer Tuesdays! She'd look so hot on the back of my new 883 Sporty and she's very knowledgeable on safety issues too so we'd definitely have plenty to talk about on our cool microphones. I disagree about Dave Matthews and Coldplay though. They are way too hard core for the motorcycle crowd. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: C'mon, 3 thumbs down?!?!? My answer was about as serious as the question. Don't you people know jokes when you read them? Anyone who answered this hilarious question with a serious answer is in dire need of a reality check! This is one of the funniest questions I've ever read on Y!A. Way to go Sam!!!!"

xxx000au replied: "I don't know that by me dropping my bum on any one motorcycle brands seat says I have to then abandon my other interest, in this case music. No the Spears bird is not my sort of entertainer but I also accept that a lot of the stuff I enjoy is not to the liking of others. I say. Who cares. I don't listen to please them. I listen to what pleases me."

Byron replied: "Hey....Joe B is back. You ain't man enough for a Sportster."

HD William replied: "This married couples attitude towards Harleys is right on the money. Its a shame that Britney was playing on their radio, but in their defense, Britney's latest album is pretty solid - I listen to it all the time while riding. I haven't heard of any dedicated HD riding stations, and I'd think Harley's wonderful marketing department would have made it happen long ago if they thought it would bring happiness to their loyal public. Too bad really - I mean, I was listening to Peaches and Herb the other day and I was thinking to myself how it was the perfect music that complemented my road king and how great I look on it with all my HD riding gear. I hope HD someday has their own radio station on satellite, but if they do, I'd want to make sure they had separate stations for real HD riders and then maybe another one for the sissies that ride Sportsters. I wouldn't want to be associated with any poser that rides a Sportster, and they certainly don't deserve the same degree of HD loyalty that those of us who ride real bikes have earned. Perhaps they can start coding the bikes with an electronic chip that prohibits Sportster riders from hearing an official HD radio station."

bluff mike replied: "Brittany is exactly who people who are so hooked into pop culture would be listening to."

chopperchopster replied: "why yes you do look like a real biker biff!"

kaylabee9056 replied: "My husband i both ride Harleys he rides a ultra clasic and he listens to all kinds of music on his bike and i ride a sportster 883L because i am short and i can only listen to my ipod but we both enjoy our own music why would you want a HD staion when you can listen to what ever you want"

ACE replied: "Hardcore Dave Matthews. Oh yeah!!"

dirtytricksracing replied: "You are just the one that they look for to sell all that stuff to no not as of yet there is no Harley station."

bikinkawboy replied: "Supposed to listen to Bob Seger, he has songs about bikes and HD had him at their 100th anniversary celebration, so I figure he has HD's seal of approval."

Mark B replied: " Thanks for the two points there sparky."

Dan G replied: "Dude, I ride a Sportster too. SELL YOUR SPORTSTER! Give it away, leave it on the side of the road, whatever just do not ride it again. You are the Fanboy sucker that makes us all look like sporty riders are not real riders. It ain't about the gear man. If you want gear take up Paintball or hockey. You can get a lot of paintball equipment when you sell your sporty. By the way, I have some orange and black AIR for sale on EBAY. I jarred it at the HD factory tour. REAL HARLEY AIR. Wanna Buy it? Dude....SELL the bike!"

Should I be mad about this? My husband just bought a Harley Davidson Motorcycle back in June and every Sunday since then he has gone out with his buddies riding. This is not really what I'm mad about but yesterday they decided to go to Hooters (and if you don't know what that is, it's a restaurant where big boobie women serve you). Now I know he didn't just go there for the food. And to top off the whole day he decied to take pictures with the waitress. And he knew that that is where they were going and he lied to me and told me they were going somewhere else. He thinks I'm being ridiculous. We just had a baby in Nov. And we also have 4 other kids that he leaves at home with me to take care of. The oldest two are his kids from previous relationships and I feel like he is never home to spend time with them, or give me any time to myself. I'm really mad about the pictures but he thinks I shouldn't be, am I just acting like a jealous wife?

InspirAsian Face Off replied: "its normal to be mad, its a woman thing, but as long he is doing clean fun.. hope its not that serious, what if you were to go take pictures with male waiters?.."

Carrie W replied: "I think he's being a jerk. An inconsiderate jerk."

Kenny J replied: "I think that it is just hooters. it is not the strip club or a prostitute. He is coming home to you. If he isn't spending enough time with you or the kids you need to mention it, but i think you are using this as a reason other than the truth to be mad."

Twiggy replied: "I think you are right to feel mad. Call it jealousy but really it is inappropriate for a husband and father to behaving this way and it is affecting your relationship. Suggestion: tell him you are OK with his riding with the guys but you would like for him to come straight home afterward rather than go to hooters."

Racer replied: "Yeah...I'd wonder how he'd feel if you reversed the situation, and it was you doing all this...and bringing home pictures of you with gorgeous male waiters draped all over you??? Hmmm... I'd be plenty pissed at him..."

sunflowergal replied: "you're mad and hurt about the whole deal... him lying, the pix, never being at home with you, or helping with the kids. Sounds like its all coming to a head, so to speak, and you're just tired of the whole deal."

elizabeth replied: "you should get togethr with some girls and do the same thing. no harm no foul. as long as he's not cheating it's cool. tell him you need sometime for your self as well. best of luck"

kaiceec replied: "Yes you have a right first and formost he lied about where he was gong becuse he knew you would be mad right? then he takes pictures not a good thing on the other hand i wouldn't really sweat it he is having clean fun its a guy thing now about leaving you at home that is another thing all togather and i would nip that in the bud to"

MOGIRL replied: "it sounds like you may have lots of stress in your life. this seems like it was just one more thing to add to the list. things will get better. just try and communicate with him to let him know how you feel. men are definitely not mind-readers. Good luck! =0)"

arcticdancer replied: "no you are not being unreasonable. you have a right to be mad. i would talk to him about all of this. i can only hope he will listen and be willing to change some things. good luck."

Rick F replied: "It's time to tighten the noose.... Once in a while maybe ok but things are getting to free. Maybe you should do the same. Maybe you need to dress in leather for him."

kimbathewhitelion02 replied: "I can understand why you are mad....you are stuck home, he is out having fun. You just had a baby so are probably not feeling back to your usual self yet and perhaps feeling a bit unattractive etc....I remember when my kids were little, seemed like hubby was never home, always out doing fun things and it pissed me off. How would he feel if you went out with your friends as much as he did, went to strippers, had photo's taken with them? Why don't you hire a babysitter and test out that theory? I would love to suggest to you that you go with him for his Sunday rides but I am guessing it is a blokes only thing, plus with a new baby it would make it hard. You need to start looking after yourself. I remember I used to have Friday mornings to myself, put the kids in childcare and do groceries in peace (I know it was grocery shopping but I could actually stop at a cafe and have a coffee and cake and relax) Good luck....your feelings go a lot deeper than jus the photo (proof) of him out having a good time. Tell him how it makes you feel."

~*Yesterdays Promises*~ replied: "First of all, I think if your going to be mad at all you should be mad that he is leaving you home alone to take care of the kids all the time. I have been to Hooters many times...with my husband, my mother, my father, friends...it really isn't that bad of a place and the food is actually good. You have to remember this...the waitresses that work there are doing their jobs, even if that means playing a role. If flirting with some guys is going to make them a bigger tip, you better beleive that they will. Do you really think that those waitresses are thinking about all the people they waited on through out the day?! Probably not, they are probably going home to their husbands and kids."

Cinta replied: "Well, you should be mad that he lied and communicate it with him that you don't really care that he went to hooters but that he lied about it. Going to hooters is not that serious. As for taking the pictures, well, men do stupid shyt like that, don't worry about it. For the kids and him leaving you, you definately need to address that with him. Tell him you are more than willing to do that but that you'd like a night out with ladies once or twice and month and he should stay home with the kiddies. All in all, communicate but don't look down on him or call names or scream and throw a tantrum. This can be worked out if you are both willing to."

spaznskitz replied: "they were out riding - they were hungry - they stopped to eat - so what if it was at hooters, it isn't like they were topless... your husband can see a big boobed woman at the grocery store, another restaurant, church...they are all over the place. Yes hun, you are over reacting...I'm thinking you are still dealing with post pregnancy hormones - been there, done that - have overreacted over silly stuff thanks to them. =)"

Tamara replied: "If he lied about it because he knew you were insecure I see his point. If he lied because he thinks he has a chance with one of those girls SHAME ON HIM! Personally I could care less. Those ladies are there to make those men spend more money, not to create some bond with them. If they feel the need to see a beautiful woman, thats cool as long as they don't do that in front of me! I think you just miss time with him and for some reason one day a week is killing you. Maybe ask if wives go with them, it sounds like a boys day out and nothing else. I wouldn't really be too worried about it. The more confident and better self esteem you have the better you'll feel about this. I think it's because you have a new baby, don't make this into something it isn't, I see your side, I do. But you might just need time with him and away from the kids. To see that it's really you he loves to be with most. Not these other men. They are just a day of relaxation which is something you miss with him, alone. Talk to him hunny, tell him how you miss time with him, I think he will agree, your overwhelmed and need some time with him. Maybe have the oldest child watch over the others and you two go out on the motorbike together for a ride. You need alone time and to know your an AMAZING LADY!!!! You need Self Esteem. Stay focused on yourself and him, not Hooters."

Keeping It Real... replied: "You're mad about a lot of things the picture just topped it all off. You need to sit your husband down and talk to him with respect. Explain to him that you would like to have some alone time with him. Maybe once a week you two can go to the movies or dinner. You could get the older children to watch the younger children. You also need to find a hobby or a join a group that allows you to leave home for a couple of hours. Make sure when you do it its not on Sunday. Find a day of the week and go out for a few hours while he stays home with the children. Maybe if he sits home with the children while you're out then he can see how you feel and he might change his act."

DrPhilamina replied: "I think that you're not really upset about Hooters, you're upset that he's not around much. So you need to focus on that. I don't think there's anything wrong with him going to hooters and taking pics with the waitresses; that's just guys being immature! I would laugh at my boyfriend if he did that, But getting back to your real problem, you need to sit down with him and re-negotiate your family roles. If he wants to go out on Sundays riding with his friends, then you get to go out on Saturday afternoons with your friends. Also, make sure to plan sometime for just the 2 of you; like a weekly or bi-weekly date night."

ndnqt1966 replied: "Apparently some people here are ignoring the fact that he lied to you about his where abouts.....He is not being fair when he spends Sunday's out riding on motorcycles with friends leaving you behind to take care of children...I am willing to bet that he doesn't offer to take care of the kids while you go do something fun with your female friends right? I don't think it is so much that he had lunch at hooters....as it is..that he lied about it...What a schmuck!"

Chuck B replied: "Don't sweat the Hooters girls. Seriously. He's having fun, and they pose no threat to you, at all. If anything, they get him rev'ed up for you. You are manifesting your anger about other issues (the kids; no time alone; etc) on an innocent non-issue. But you have every right to be angry about the other stuff. So forget the Hooters, and deal with the real problems."

Tom D replied: "SOOO he was eating chicken wings & drinking beer!! OH my god call a divorce lawyer!! Women u need to freakin relax, its not he was porkin her for christ sake"

littleviv2000 replied: "Me, I would be more mad about him lying about going and not spending time with me and his kids than I would be of him going to a place like Hooters. I'm not naive or arrogant enough to believe that just because a man is with me exclusively that he loses the desire for, and the want to look at, other women(I don't know anyone who has, male or female, to be honest), so I wouldn't be bothered by his looking and thinking as long as he doesn't act on it. The major issue is his not fulfilling his fatherly and husbandly duties, not him being male and human. Don't focus on him looking at other women, focus on him lying to you and not doing his part with the kids."

marco polo replied: "of course any caring wife who wants a good relationship would be jealous about this. Why doesn't he take pictures of you instead. I figure that he needs a little more excitement. Just talk him about it and see if there's any way that you could juice up the excitement and tell him that you don't feel right about him going to hooters."

Lunaeclipz replied: "No-I thinkpoorly of any man who leaves his wife and children at home while he parties is wrong-tell him to take some responsibility and treat his family correctly!"
